Idea Charter School

Interior renovation/conversion of existing 4-story bank/office building into a Charter School. The approximate 102,364 sf conversion involved structural modifications to the existing structure to create new floor openings at several of the floors to accommodate installation of a new 4-story stairwell off the the existing entry lobby as well as additional egress stairs off the 2nd floor to serve the additional occupant load due to the change of occupancy.The scope of work also included demolition of the existing business occupancy, less the core areas, and the addition of a new dining cafeteria and kitchen on the first floor along with new classrooms on all the other floors.
